Hello everyone,
On this last day of May, and with the Brevet des Collèges just 4 weeks away, here are 7 keys to staying calm and methodical in the run-up to D-day:
1st key: Lister
To relieve stress, it's a good idea to look it in the face and list on paper what you're afraid of, so you can turn your fears into actions!
To get an overview: list all the subjects concerned, the number of lessons to be revised and therefore the number of sheets per subject.
2nd key: Planning
This is the key to moving on to the next stage. After all, life is all about planning! That's why it's a good idea to have a diary (a weekly planner is ideal) and to note down the total number of hours needed for revision, as well as rest periods! After all, it's not a question of revising 24/7, but of finding the right balance between optimal revision and free time to free your mind and let the learning infuse. It's up to you to block off days and hours in the week in your diary, and you'll gain in serenity because what's written down will set you free.
3rd key: Week 1
5 subjects to revise? Divide up as follows: 1 day 1 subject
Reread your worksheets calmly and review them with others, and ask each other questions to challenge yourselves and identify any sticking points.
The aim is that, by the end of this 1st week, you will have reread and understood most of the worksheets for each subject, so that you can progress serenely step by step.
4th key: Week 2
From theory to practice:
During week 1, you were able to reread your cards and identify the most difficult lessons to remember!
Reread the lessons that are most important and most complex for you. Do exercises and select standard subjects for each subject.
5th key: Week 3
Produce a typical brevet subject for each subject
6th key: Week 4
Correct your patent subjects and identify errors so you can understand and correct them.
Finally, reread and memorize your cards one last time. Annotate yourself with additional details and tips.
7th key: The day before the exam
Decompressing the day before an exam is crucial. Performance will also come naturally if you practice positive visualization, i.e. visualizing your concentration, your success in time management on D-day, in front of your exam paper, mastery and confidence. The more confidence you anticipate and visualize, the more your energy will be there with you, accompanying you on your way to success!
The aim of this article is to help your teenagers gain confidence and optimize their revisions, so that they can find their own revision focus, because good organization is the key to success! On your marks, get set, go, revise with confidence and your head held high!
And don't forget to eat plenty of honey and hazelnuts to guarantee good energy on the big day!
Good luck to everyone in this final stretch!!!!
