Hello everyone!
During the summer break, many of us take the opportunity to brush up on our foreign language skills.
I'd like to share with you an experience I had with one of my adult trainees, who has learning difficulties and wants to communicate in Spanish.
In analyzing his blocks, I realized that the blockage occurs when he has to conjugate the verb. How can he overcome this blockage and communicate more quickly?
Here are 6 keys to structuring your reasoning and automating it to improve your speaking speed:
1. Identify the blocking thought negative the very thought that's driving you in circles and leading you to the wrong line of reasoning.
2. Refocus and ask yourself the right questions in the right order:
3. What conjugation tense am I looking for?
4. What is the infinitive of the verb I want to conjugate?
5. Which is the singular or plural person (¿yo, tú, el, ella, nosotros, vosotros, ellos, ellas?)?
6. Repeat in your head the verb in all persons in the correct conjugation tense to find the correctly conjugated verb more naturally.
To succeed, be aware of what you're thinking when you block. Introduce targeted revision by working on the blocking notion (15 minutes a day is often enough for the brain to start automating). Consistency and determination will be the key to your success in learning, whatever it may be.
There's no magic method to learning, because it's your capacity for self-discipline that will make the difference. Little by little, you'll find your own method that suits you. Is it difficult for you? Would you prefer to be accompanied and guided step by step to facilitate and personalize your learning over the long term? Turn your resistance into an asset for success!
