Dear English learners!
This week, I'm going to give you some tips on how to pronounce English better?
At school, oral expression is not always given pride of place. The written word still dominates!
That's why you've lost 90% of what you learned at school!
To memorize, the brain needs practice!
When it comes to learning a new language as an adult, it's often difficult to motivate yourself!
Here are 3 habits you can adopt on a daily basis to improve your speaking and pronunciation skills!
1. Work on your listening skills!
Do you know the English alphabet by heart? Every letter? Every sound? test yourself and identify the letters you need to work on! Repeat them to music ;)
Listen to music, TV series, films and podcasts to train your ears and gradually get your brain used to them!
2. Read aloud!
A great way to improve accentuation, intonation (upward or downward), articulation and the dissociation of vowel and consonant sounds.
Record yourself reading with the Dictaphone, then listen again!
An excellent way to identify and target your accentuation difficulties :)
3. Sing along! Share! Discuss!
Have you heard of Tandem or Conversation Exchange? You can find a pen pal to talk to on a regular basis thanks to these two websites!
Imitate the English accent you hear! Force yourself to do it!
Can't afford to travel? It's possible to learn English at home! All you have to do is take charge of your daily life and make it a habit!
Your choice and your method are essential to enjoy yourself and stay motivated! Find your own rhythm each week to make steady progress! That's the key!
Would you prefer to be accompanied in setting up a learning program and regular practice that will motivate you over the long term?
